Botanical fine art photography
It started in my grandmother's garden, where flowers were not decoration but company. The scent of roses after rain, the way light fell through tulip petals, the quiet pride with which she showed her border - those images stayed with me.
The camera came later, first as a hobby on Sunday mornings with flowers on the tea cabinet. What began as relaxation became a way of looking at what usually passes unnoticed: the vulnerability of an opening bud, or light that is perfect for only one minute.
Today I still work from that same simplicity: natural forms, natural light and the patience to wait for the right moment. I am not looking for a perfect flower, but for presence, stillness and character.
I do not photograph a flower simply to capture it, but to let it speak quietly for a moment. My work begins with attention to natural forms, to light that reveals just enough, and to darkness that gives an image calm.
I choose flowers, leaves and harvest forms for character. Not everything has to be perfect; form, tension and vulnerability often make an image feel alive.
The images are made with carefully chosen natural light. Shadow matters as much as brightness: together they give the work stillness and depth.
Each print is bonded behind acrylic glass using the Diasec® method for depth and durability. A frame is available only on request and is not a fixed part of this production.
